Job Title: Peripatetic Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Peripatetic Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a Peripatetic Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents in a variety of settings, including nursing homes and community-based facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and monitor residents' responses to treatment.
  • Wound Care and Management: Provide wound care and management services to residents, including dressing changes, wound cleaning, and debridement.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and transitions.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care, including progress notes, medication administration records, and other relevant documentation.

Requirements:

  • Education and Certification: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of practice.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing home or community-based setting, with a focus on gerontological nursing.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong assessment and care planning skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
