About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our Fostering Service team. As an Assessing Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing prospective mainstream carers and ensuring the best possible outcomes for children in care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of prospective foster carers to determine their suitability for fostering
  • Work closely with the Recruitment and Assessment team to ensure a smooth and efficient assessment process
  • Develop and maintain relationships with foster carers and children's social work teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for children
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to fostering
