We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Professional to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures that align with our company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Health and Safety Policies: Create and maintain up-to-date health and safety policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify and assess potential hazards in the workplace and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Lead Accident Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into workplace accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Manage Quality Control Processes: Oversee quality control processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Design and deliver training programs to staff and clients on health and safety best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Provide Strategic Guidance: Offer strategic guidance to senior management on health and safety matters, including developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures.
- Lead Environmental Initiatives: Develop and implement environmental initiatives to reduce the company's carbon footprint and promote sustainability.
Requirements:
- Background in Health and Safety: A background in health and safety, ideally in the construction or utilities sector, or in organizations with large manual labor forces.
- Qualifications: Possess relevant qualifications, such as IOSH Managing Safely, IOSH Working Safely, NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction, or NRSWA Supervisor.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Systems: Excellent up-to-date knowledge of health and safety systems and legislation.
- Leadership and Training Skills: Ability to lead and train others, while demonstrating high levels of professionalism.
