Job Title: Church Minister

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Church Minister at New Wine Trust. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in leading and innovating our local outreach work, building strong relationships with external stakeholders, and empowering a dynamic volunteer culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement our City Transformation ministry, ensuring that our projects meet the needs of our community.
  • Reach out to those in crisis, providing access to care and support both within and outside our church.
  • Develop and implement our vision to become a Love Your Neighbour hub, fostering collaborative relationships with partner charities.
  • Oversight of our Saint Paul's Community Cafe, ensuring its smooth operation and success.
  • Act as an ambassador for New Wine Trust, developing relationships with key stakeholders and securing funding opportunities.
  • Collect and analyze data, creating regular impact reports for church leadership and funding partners.
  • Lead our Adult Safeguarding efforts, sitting on the Saint Paul's Safeguarding Team and ensuring the well-being of our community.
  • Line-manage and connect with our volunteer chaplains, providing guidance and support.
  • Recruit, train, and support a volunteer team, empowering them to make a meaningful impact.
  • Network and build relationships with charitable organizations and key stakeholders, identifying opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Active engagement in New Wine Trust church life and community.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop positive relationships.
  • Understanding of and alignment with New Wine Trust's vision and values.
  • Personal maturity, wisdom, and discretion, with a flexible and adaptable attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate skills in IT and MS Office suite, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.

Working Requirements:

  • Proof of right to work in the UK.
  • 35 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.

Package:

  • Annual salary of £28k - £32k, depending on experience.
  • 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Employer pension contribution.
  • Annual staff retreat at an offsite location.
