About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and kind individual to join our team as an As and When Play Worker. This role involves working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities, providing support and care in a group setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver play and leisure activities to children and young people, promoting their social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers to ensure the children and young people are safe, cared for, and having a good time.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with children and young people, their families, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized plans for children and young people.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to work on an as and when basis, including evenings, weekends, and school holidays.
