Our vast direct-to-store (DTS) distribution network enables us to make over 10,400 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce and that of third parties.

Our Site

Our Manton Wood site is a hub of activity, with a team of around 1,700 colleagues working together to drive success. We offer a range of amenities, including a gym, restaurant with hot food, and a staff shop available to all our colleagues.

About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, planning, and deploying engineering solutions that enhance the capability of our assets on site. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver the installation and commissioning of new equipment, minimizing disruption to manufacturing productivity
  • Ensure new equipment drawings and preventative maintenance recommendations are transferred to the maintenance teams' files
  • Develop User Requirement Specifications (URS) to establish a clear understanding of agreed objectives and standards
  • Create AutoCAD drawings as specifications, working closely with engineering project managers
  • Assist in design costings and installation as part of large projects, following the direction of engineering project managers

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer who can utilize their expertise in project delivery on a daily basis. Ideally, you will have:

  • PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification
  • Experience using Microsoft Project or equivalent project management software to report on project progress
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software to produce design specifications
  • Qualifications and ability to assess machine safety
