About the Role

Southam Selections is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Underwriting Administrator to join their team. As an Underwriting Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Underwriting team with policy administration, validation of documentation, and adjusting premiums as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Administration: Support the Underwriting team with policy administration, including validation of documentation and adjusting premiums as required.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of policy documentation, including cancellations and amendments.
  • Communication: Provide excellent customer service to brokers, responding to queries and maintaining close relationships with the sales and service teams.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines, including the Financial Conduct Authority.
  • Record Keeping: Record all correspondence to create a clear audit trail for the underwriting and compliance team.
Requirements
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Administrative Experience: Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in computer software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Self-Motivation: High degree of self-motivation and ambition, with a positive and confident approach.
