Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Marshalls in Bridgend. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continuous running of our production process by eliminating downtime through safe and logical approaches to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on site, including maintenance of complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
  • Contribute to the overall safe operation of plant and equipment, safety, quality, waste, and OEE targets.
  • Work collaboratively with the Engineering team to identify and implement improvements to maintenance processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Excellent mechanical and/or electrical working knowledge and experience.
  • Time served/apprentice trained in a similar position, with recognised Mechanical / Electrical qualifications.
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine PPM activities.
  • Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives, Team leaders from both maintenance and production.
