About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Technologist to join our team at MET Recruitment UK Ltd. As a Quality Assurance Technologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Internal Quality Assurance Compliance Auditor: Conduct audits in various areas, including GMP, CCP's, Label and Date Coding, Traceability, Hygiene, Fabrication, Product quality, Documentation and Paperwork, Production processes and procedures.
- Investigate Food Safety, Quality, or Legality Issues: Obtain full traceability information and communicate findings to the management team.
- Follow QA Procedures and Systems: Ensure compliance with required third-party audit and customer code of practice standards.
- Manage Olympus Auto Verification System: Set up and provide support as required during operations.
- Provide Quality Support and Advice: Be the first point of call for all other operational departments requiring food safety, legality, quality support/advice with the day-to-day factory operation.
- Root Cause Analysis: Identify and resolve issues, including out-of-specification results, customer complaints, and foreign body damage.
- Document Non-Conformances and Concessions: Manage systems to ensure product and process control.
- Routine Validations: Conduct validations in accordance with HACCP scheduled requirements.
- Attend New Product/Process Trials: Ensure smooth transition for launch.
- Complaints Reduction Action Plan: Work with operations to drive high product quality standards.
- Audit Traceability Team: Be a key member of the team.
- Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with all departments and levels.
- Handover to Next Shift: Ensure effective documented handover to maintain consistency in standards.
- Support and Guidance: Provide support and guidance to Quality Assurance Technicians.
- Cover for QA Technicians: Provide cover for QA Technicians' tasks during absence.
- Department and Company Policies: Fully understand and comply with all department and company policies and guidelines.
- Continuous Improvement: Work positively and cross-functionally with all departments to drive continuous improvement in product quality and QA systems.
Accountabilities:
- QA Audit Schedule Compliance: Completion rate KPI.
- QA Procedural Third-Party and Customer Audit Compliance: QA area level of NC's raised.
- Accuracy of Equipment Setup: Level of errors identified.
- Hold/Quarantine Item Management: Number remaining open/not dealt within required timescale.
- Investigation Completion Rate: Level of open investigation post required completion date.
- Food Safety, Brand Integrity, and Health and Safety: This role has a responsibility for.
Requirements:
- Minimum Two-Year Experience: In food industry production or QA or Technical role.
- Fluent English Language: Required.
- Food Safety Qualification: At Level 2 or higher.
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Internal Auditor Experience: Required.
