Job Description


**Key Responsibilities:**

The successful candidate will be an experienced professional responsible for conducting thorough property surveys to diagnose and remediate condensation and damp-related issues. This role requires a strong scientific understanding of mould types, their causes, and effects on residents.

**Key Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Proven expertise in building structures and their contribution to dampness
  • Ability to diagnose and specify remedial requirements
  • Knowledge of equipment used for diagnostics and seasonal monitoring
  • Empathetic approach to tenants and property conditions
  • Ability to produce drawings and floor plans
  • Diagnosis of general building faults and specification of improvement works
  • Understanding of how improvement works may affect other components of the property/building
  • Ordering works through appropriate systems and tender/contract procedures
  • Supervision of works to completion, adhering to Council Health & Safety Standards and statutory requirements


Requirements:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize workloads, analyze, and resolve problems
  • Ability to work independently to meet strict deadlines
  • Post-inspection responsibilities, including confirmation of satisfactory completion, authorization of payments, and investigation of invoice queries
  • Experience in cross-service/partnership working and liaison skills
  • Management of external resources through PFI contract partnering to ensure best value for the client
  • Responding to complaints, compliments, and requests for information, and considering service review and development
