Meridian Business Support is proud to partner with a leading UK independent 4x4 dealership to find a skilled Bodyshop Prepper in Chelmsford.

The company has been a prominent player in the industry for over 50 years, offering an extensive range of premium vehicles at their state-of-the-art showroom.

Due to their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced prepper/paint technician/paint sprayer to join their expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly clean and prepare vehicles for painting, ensuring a smooth surface and proper adhesion of the paint.
  • Mask off areas not requiring painting, including windows, trim, and lights, to prevent overspray.
  • Apply body filler to dents, dings, and scratches, then sand to create a smooth surface.
  • Inspect vehicles for additional damage or imperfections that need to be addressed before painting.
  • Mix paints to match the vehicle's original color or create a custom color as requested by the client.
  • Buff and polish the painted surface to achieve a high-gloss finish.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a bodyshop prepper/paint technician/paint sprayer (water-based or solvent).
  • Effective communication and strong time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
