We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the technical aspects of the end-to-end design process for the Civil Works Programme at Sizewell C.
Key Responsibilities- Define, manage, and deliver all aspects of CWP design, from requirements to acceptance, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Coordinate SZC Client and Responsible Designer inputs, manage technical change control, and lead the technical assurance process to ensure delivery meets quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all technical aspects of the design process are communicated effectively.
- Oversee the Engineering & Technical budget and manage associated resources and supply chains to ensure timely delivery of the design.
- Ensure the seamless integration of constructability requirements and design integration within the Civil Works Programme and related infrastructure.
- 5+ years of Design Management experience within the civil engineering industry.
- A Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Proven experience as a people leader with exceptional communication skills.
- Extensive technical knowledge and understanding of civil engineering.
- Experience in civil consultancy and a strong track record of managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Stakeholder management expertise and the ability to influence across all levels.
