Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in a SEND Learning Support Assistant role. The successful candidate will work in our Year 1 class, supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEND, promoting their learning and well-being
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons, adapting materials to meet the needs of students with SEND
  • Support students with personal care needs, including administering medication and assisting with mobility
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting students with SEND
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with SEND, preferably in a primary school setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, with a flexible and patient approach
  • Knowledge of SEND policies and procedures, with a commitment to inclusive practice
