Role Summary:

The Estimator will be integral to our project planning and execution phases. This role involves the precise calculation of costs related to construction and civil engineering initiatives, ensuring our proposals are both competitive and uphold our quality standards.

Key Duties:

  • Examine project documentation, including plans and specifications, to generate thorough and precise cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to grasp project goals and requirements.
  • Assess and quantify costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Employ specialized software and tools to create detailed cost analyses.
  • Prepare and present competitive bids and proposals within set deadlines.
  • Review and negotiate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and cost data to ensure accurate estimating practices.
  • Engage in value engineering to optimize project expenses while maintaining quality.
  • Provide ongoing cost support and analysis to the project team.
  • Assist in the creation and upkeep of cost databases and historical data.

Required Qualifications:

  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as an Estimator in the construction and civil engineering field.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
