Job OverviewPosition: A/C and Refrigeration Engineer
Compensation: £40,500 base salary, inclusive of van and fuel card (Potential earnings of £50-55k with on-call duties and overtime)
Work Schedule: Day Shifts

Role Summary:

This pivotal role involves executing both scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks on Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems across various commercial contracts. You will serve as the primary point of contact for all maintenance activities within your designated sites.

The main objective of this position is to perform technical repairs and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM). You will ensure that all technical documentation and compliance records are consistently maintained and updated.

All tasks must be completed to the highest standards, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness while adhering to the Company's Health, Safety, and Compliance policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timelines, ensuring all relevant documentation is accurately completed according to established procedures.

2. Respond swiftly and positively to service requests from the Helpdesk, assessing job requirements and executing repairs as necessary.

3. Prioritize maintenance and repair tasks to meet agreed timelines and response expectations.

4. Order necessary spare parts following established protocols.

5. Identify non-repairable issues in equipment and promptly inform the Line Manager, providing recommendations for suitable replacements.

6. Ensure compliance documentation is consistently completed and current.

7. Conduct surveys and prepare reports as required by management.

8. Perform minor modifications and installations within your technical capabilities, adhering to current specifications.

9. Attend training sessions as needed to keep your skills aligned with technical advancements.

10. Be prepared to participate in an on-call rotation.


Qualifications:

- F-Gas certification as a minimum requirement.

- City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.


Skills and Competencies:

- Minimum education level of GCSE / Standard Grade.

- High-quality standards in repairs and maintenance.

- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Efficiency and speed in completing tasks.

- Positive and proactive attitude.

- Timely response to service requests within agreed parameters.

- Successful achievement of PPM schedules within set timelines.

- Adherence to Health and Safety policies.
