The Opportunity

We are seeking a committed Lifting Operations Supervisor to become an integral part of our vibrant team. This position provides the opportunity to lead the safety and compliance of lifting activities and equipment within our organization.

Lifting Operations Supervisor

You will be responsible for managing lifting operations to ensure adherence to the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER). This encompasses the planning and execution of lifting tasks, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

? Oversee lifting operations, ensuring compliance with LOLER regulations.

? Develop and implement policies and procedures for lifting activities.

? Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments of lifting equipment and operations.

? Provide expert guidance and support on all aspects related to lifting operations.

? Train and mentor team members on LOLER compliance and best practices.

? Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth lifting operations.

? Maintain accurate documentation and records of lifting equipment inspections and maintenance.

? Monitor and evaluate health and safety metrics related to lifting operations.

? Investigate any incidents associated with lifting operations and implement corrective measures.

? Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding lifting operations and safety enhancements.

Knowledge of LOLER Compliance

Your comprehensive understanding of LOLER regulations will be essential in ensuring that our lifting operations are compliant, safe, and efficient. You will work closely with our health and safety team to uphold and enhance our safety standards.

Required Experience and Skills

? Extensive experience in a similar role within industrial or construction settings.

? Strong knowledge of LOLER regulations and best practices.

? Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to manage and develop a team.

? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

? Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement effective safety measures.

? Certified training in LOLER regulations and lifting equipment management.

? Self-motivated with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
