EG Group is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Vehicle Fleet Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The Supervisor will be responsible for the administration, compliance, and upkeep of the organization's vehicle fleet. This includes managing licensing, registration, insurance, and adherence to regulatory standards. The role requires effective management of relationships with regulatory bodies, coordination of vehicle inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental guidelines.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in budget management and cost control, with a strong ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize fleet-related expenses.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the licensing and registration processes for the vehicle fleet, including new acquisitions, renewals, and transfers. Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations regarding vehicle registration and titling. Coordinate insurance coverage for the fleet vehicles. Engage with insurance providers to secure competitive quotes, manage policy renewals, and handle claims as necessary. Maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements related to vehicle licensing, emissions standards, and safety regulations. Ensure fleet compliance with relevant regulatory agencies. Keep accurate records of vehicle registrations, titles, insurance policies, and maintenance histories. Prepare and present reports on fleet performance, compliance status, and operational costs. Manage relationships with external vendors, including vehicle dealerships and service providers. Negotiate contracts and service agreements to enhance fleet management processes and reduce costs. Provide training and support to drivers and fleet personnel on compliance and safety best practices.This list is not exhaustive and may be subject to updates.
Candidate Qualifications
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and service intervals. Demonstrated experience in fleet management or a related field. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements governing vehicle operations. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively. Proficient in fleet management software for record-keeping and reporting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
