We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Hunter Mason Consulting Ltd. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in administering construction contracts, including tendering, reviews, and negotiations.
Key Responsibilities- Administer construction contracts, including tendering, reviews, and negotiations to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Assist with workforce oversight and subcontractor deployment, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Meet with subcontractors throughout the works and approve stage payments, including accurate take-offs and measurements.
- Evaluate and process change orders, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
- Generate regular cost reports and forecasts to provide senior management with up-to-date financial information.
- Maintain accurate records of all cost-related documents, contracts, invoices, payments, and correspondence.
- Communicate effectively with the wider team, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Support and seek best values in other areas of the business, advising and assisting where needed.
- HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related subject.
- Experience in Paving, Asphalt, Highways, Roads, Car Parks, Groundworks/Civil Engineering projects is highly desirable.
- Self-motivated, friendly, sociable, and driven individual with excellent communication skills.
- Full driving license and ability to travel as required.
- Commercially aware and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated personality with a right-first-time attitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
