Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Fitter to work on the overhaul and testing of our range of products, including Hydraulic Pumps, Motors, Valves, and Hydraulic Power units. The successful candidate will work in teams to break down mechanical systems on locomotive rafts and rebuild them.
Key Responsibilities:- Overhaul and test Hydraulic Pumps, Motors, Valves, and Hydraulic Power units
- Work in teams to break down mechanical systems on locomotive rafts and rebuild them
- Install and repair hydraulic systems
- Have a good understanding of vehicle mechanical interfaces and repairs of vehicle components
- Previous engine knowledge is advantageous
- Overhaul of raft components
- Understand schematic drawings
- Undertake training as and when required
- Mentor trainees/apprentices when applicable
- Ensure waste is disposed of correctly
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and hydraulic systems. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of vehicle mechanical interfaces and repairs of vehicle components. Previous engine knowledge is advantageous.
