Academic Planning Coordinator

At Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Biobank Sample Coordinator to join our team in the Heart, Lung and Critical Care (HLCC) Biobank, part of the Clinical Research Facility (CRF) in Chelsea, London.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect and record clinical data onto specified databases with accuracy and timeliness.
- Liaise with external Biobank off-site facility to ensure seamless operations.
- Work across two hospital sites as required, maintaining effective communication with clinical personnel.
- Provide pseudo-anonymized clinical data to research groups, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
- Screen and evaluate eligibility of potential patients for participation in the Biobank, ensuring compliance with Trust and departmental policies.
- Implement and ensure adherence to all Trust and departmental policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the review and updating of laboratory Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute work, ensuring efficient operations.
- Utilize the Trust's sample tracking database, LabVantage, to track and identify samples, ensuring accurate and timely data retrieval.
This is a fixed-term maternity cover post for 12 months, providing an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a brand-new centre of excellence in heart and lung disease research and treatment.
