Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Complex Emotional Needs team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessments and interventions for individuals with complex mental health needs, including personality disorder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of clients, including cognitive and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, and semi-structured interviews.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including cognitive analytic therapy and other psychosocial interventions.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as consultation and training to other professionals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans, and provide liaison with inpatient wards and general practitioners.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of service policies and procedures, and participate in research and service evaluation activities.
Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology.
  • Experience of working with individuals with complex mental health needs, including personality disorder.
  • Skills in cognitive analytic therapy and other psychosocial interventions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals.
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and contributing to service development and evaluation.
Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be employed on a full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week. The post will be based at our trust's headquarters, with regular travel to other sites as required.
