About the Role

This is a key position within our business, supporting the development of our commercial strategy. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to provide commercial insight into future opportunities and risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate monthly P&L forecasts for their business segment
  • Lead analysis on their business area, providing updates, raising concerns, and creating recommendations to the Commercial Manager
  • Identify and flag any issues in delivering the monthly sales P&L and retention numbers for their business segment, to the Commercial Manager
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to deliver the P&L plan
  • Participate in weekly Trading meetings to discuss commercial performance and opportunities
  • Maximise ROI for both product and distribution
  • Review product performance and yield products to ensure maximum returns
  • Track performance of all yielding decisions
  • Select marketing decisions for their business area
  • Write the weekly marketing summary
  • Update the daily P&L tracker
  • General analytical tasks to support the Commercial Manager
  • Manage the tracking and plan creation for Cruise Line funding and override opportunities

Requirements:

  • Self-driven, with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality
  • Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into information for decision making
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and able to deliver under pressure
  • Excellent communication and team player skills
  • A passion for the travel industry is a real advantage
  • Able to work extended hours on occasions when required
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
  • Previous pricing and yield management experience is preferred
