Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team at The Sterling Choice. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform both reactive and proactive maintenance tasks across the entire facility.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, minimizing downtime and ensuring efficient production flow.
  • Conduct regular planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to uphold high operational standards.
  • Collaborate with contractors and other team members to address maintenance issues effectively.
  • Utilize your expertise in both electrical and mechanical systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
Qualifications
  • Formal engineering qualification to NVQ Level 3 or higher in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
  • Possession of 16th, 17th, or 18th Edition Certification is essential.
  • Experience in the food manufacturing sector is highly advantageous.
  • Proficient in understanding electrical and mechanical schematics and manuals.
  • Computer literacy, including familiarity with MS Office and maintenance management systems.
  • A proactive approach to fault diagnosis and a commitment to continuous improvement.
