About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Manager to join our team at Ruskin Mill Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management and development of our catering department, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee food supplies, cost-efficient ordering, invoicing, and monitor kitchen equipment repairs and servicing contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Food Hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Lead, motivate, and line manage catering staff, fostering a positive and productive team culture.
  • Cook school lunches when required, demonstrating a commitment to quality and presentation.
  • Oversee the running of our Catering department, driving efficiency and innovation in menu planning and food preparation.
  • Will be willing to undergo training in our food and nutrition policy, embracing our commitment to biodynamic and organic seasonal produce.
  • Ensure meals and catering procedures align with and promote the Ruskin Mill Trust Food and Nutrition policy, utilizing locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
