Ipsum is the UK's Customer Service leader in specialist utility and infrastructure services, providing specialist power, water, infrastructure, and technology support services to regulated utilities and private sector businesses across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain performance reports and business partnering with operational colleagues to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Support the business unit in generating tenders for all opportunities, leveraging expertise in customer contracts and commercial contract management.
  • Develop strong knowledge of customer contracts, maintaining the commercial contract log, and providing advice on commercial issues to general managers.
  • Report on work in progress, billing, and support payment collection, utilizing methods to optimize pricing and tendering activities.
  • Prepare subcontract tender requirements for management reviews, utilizing the Management Information System (MIS) to track work progress and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain visibility of expenditure to ensure works are completed to budget, collaborating with the Senior Management Team and attending management reviews as required.
  • Continuously improve reporting available to management, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • A graduate with a bachelor's or master's degree/equivalent qualification in business, mathematics, or quantity surveying.
  • Demonstrable experience within a similar commercial or financial role, with a strong administrative background.
  • Strong financial acumen, people, and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with various stakeholders across the business.
  • An inquisitive mindset to present solutions for queries, ensuring performance remains on target, and consistently supporting a commercial standpoint.
  • A valid UK driving license.
