Job Description

We are seeking a talented Junior Fashion Designer to join our Accessories design team at FatFace. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for researching, interpreting, and designing printed softs and cold weather accessories ranges across Women's and Men's.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and interpret current and future trends to drive newness and shape the range for our customers.
  • Design and develop ranges with the Buyer based on sales and trend information.
  • Conduct market research to identify key competitors and stay up-to-date with the latest trends.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure high-quality products and fabrics.
  • Present ranges to the team and Senior team each season, highlighting key trends and product vision.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in Fashion-based subject.
  • 3+ years of experience at Assistant/Junior Designer level.
  • Presentation skills and ability to communicate with externals and Senior Management.
  • Good research skills and ability to organize and prioritize workload.
Competencies:
  • Strong eye for trends and understanding of the FatFace brand.
  • Organized, self-starter, and able to prioritize own workload.
  • Fantastic knowledge of fabrics, yarns, stitches, and trims, with a keen eye for details.
  • Ability to convey designs from paper to 3D design.
  • Good knowledge of Factory processes and ability to articulate yourself clearly and confidently when communicating with suppliers.
