About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Penguin Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and delivery of electrical systems across a range of exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical design across multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and staying within budget
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to develop detailed electrical system designs
  • Utilize design software, including Amtech and Dialux, to create efficient and compliant designs
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support
  • Ensure designs meet regulatory standards and are compliant with health and safety guidelines
  • Liaise with other departments to coordinate multidisciplinary design processes
About You
  • A proven track record as an Electrical Design Engineer, with experience in residential, school, and commercial projects
  • Proficiency in Amtech and Dialux software is essential
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members
  • Relevant electrical engineering qualifications and professional certifications
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations, including BS7671
