Site Engineer Opportunity

First People Solutions is seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join their team in Scotland. This is an excellent chance to be involved in key rail projects with values ranging from £500k to £3m.

The Role:

As a Site Engineer, you will report to the Project Manager/Site Agents and take responsibility for the planning and execution of site-based work across Scotland. You will play a key part in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing site safety, health, environmental, and quality standards for all site activities
  • Reviewing and interpreting project drawings and specifications for site-based activity
  • Handling setting out and surveying works to ensure accurate and professional execution
  • Supervising labour, plant, and subcontractors to keep the project running smoothly
  • Organising the daily and weekly planning of site activities, including creating and reviewing necessary documentation like Risk Assessments and Work Package Plans
  • Maintaining detailed records of site activities

Requirements:

We are looking for a degree/HNC/HND holder in Civil Engineering or relevant qualifications with experience in setting out and surveying on civil engineering projects. You should have a proven ability in the planning and delivery of site works, including production and review of Inspection Test Plans and Work Package Plans.
