Instrument Technician Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer in Irvine, UK, is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join their Engineering and Maintenance Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance routines to ensure maximum availability and reliability of the production process and CHP plant.
  • Troubleshoot, manage projects, and refurbish equipment to meet the highest standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.

Requirements:

  • Served a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Control and Instrumentation engineering.
  • Qualified to HNC level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Control and Instrumentation engineering.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with analytical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of industrial instrumentation, fault-finding techniques, calibration procedures, and control systems such as PLC's/DCS systems.
  • Competent with engineering drawings and familiar with maintenance management systems.
  • Strong commitment to safety, self-motivation, and excellent communication skills.
