We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Hotel Indigo Edinburgh Princes Street - Twenty Princes Street. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food quality and presentation
- Develop and implement menus that are creative, profitable, and aligned with our brand standards
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and legislative requirements
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to achieve seamless kitchen operations
- Monitor and control kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment to optimize efficiency and minimize waste
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety, health and safety regulations, and legislative requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
