Offshore Crane Specialist

The role is a key part of our flying squad on a permanent basis. This is an ad hoc role on a staff/employed basis. You will be supporting projects offshore mainly in the North Sea. Responsibilities include operating a crane for installation and vessel lifts within the crane design envelope, taking into consideration weather, sea states, and current load. You will carry out and assist with first-line maintenance and ensure clear communication with deck crew and vessel crew. Other main responsibilities include:

  • Complete pre-use checklists before commencing each shift
  • Compliance with clients' safe systems of work
  • Ensure good housekeeping within Crane Cabin and machinery
  • Undertake Emergency Response Activities as required
  • Ensure all incidents and near misses are reported to EnerMech and the Installation Management immediately
  • Ensure a safe and comprehensive shift handover is conducted and recorded

You are a highly skilled professional with a stage 3 Crane Operator certificate. You will be time served and hold a relevant professional qualification. You must also have offshore experience and hold the relevant offshore certifications. You will be someone who can work on your own initiative and a clear and effective communicator.
