About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities team at Cheshire East Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children with disabilities and their families across Cheshire East.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality social work services to children with disabilities and their families, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are protected.
  • Work closely with multi-agency professionals to develop and implement effective support plans that promote the well-being and inclusion of children with disabilities.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and risk assessments to identify the needs of children with disabilities and their families.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and professionals to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice.
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Registered with the relevant professional body (e.g., HCPC).
  • Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work across Cheshire East and adapt to changing priorities.
