About the Role

Wiltshire Council is seeking an experienced social worker to join our Adult Community team. As a crucial member of our team, you will collaborate with individuals, families, and caregivers, conduct Care Act 2014 assessments, evaluate needs, and manage both short-term and long-term cases.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct Care Act 2014 assessments and evaluate needs
  • Manage both short-term and long-term cases
  • Collaborate with individuals, families, and caregivers
  • Advance safeguarding inquiries and handle Court of Protection matters
  • Maintain close collaboration with healthcare and multidisciplinary professionals

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with evidence of post-qualifying learning and development
  • Social Work England registered
  • Proven track record of strengths-based social work with adults, including the safeguarding of adults
  • Extensive knowledge of health and social care and other relevant legislation policies and guidance
  • Evidenced experience of professional and personal development following achievement of professional qualification, likely to be a minimum of 2 years post-qualification
  • Ability to utilise a range of Microsoft and electronic social care record software
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
