About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Visitor Experience Manager to lead the development and delivery of an outstanding visitor experience for the Kedleston Portfolio. As a key member of the Property Leadership Team, you will be responsible for the long-term planning and overall management of the visitor experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a range of experiences that meet the needs of diverse audiences, including local communities and international visitors.
  • Lead a team of 13 staff, including line management of three visitor experience professionals, to ensure seamless visitor services, marketing and communications, programming, events, interpretation, and place making.
  • Collaborate with internal consultancy and community partners to develop audience development and inclusion strategies.
  • Work closely with other heads of department to ensure a cohesive visitor experience across the site.
  • Manage budgets and income generation, including meeting or exceeding financial targets.
  • Champion inclusion and ensure that all visitors feel welcome.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of developing successful programmes of high-quality experiences led by audience needs.
  • Experience of leading diverse teams and building positive relationships with external partners.
  • Familiarity with audience development strategies, including integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Understanding and curiosity about people, history, heritage, nature conservation, and connecting people to places.
  • Experience of managing visitor operations and income generation.
  • Confident communication and leadership skills.
