About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Paediatrician to join our team at HCRG Care Group. As a key member of our Community Health Service, you will play a vital role in providing specialist care to children and families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Delivering Paediatric Clinics: You will be responsible for conducting face-to-face and telephone clinics to assess and manage the health needs of children.
  • Assessing Children with Complex Needs: You will assess children with a range of concerns, including developmental delays, neurodevelopmental disorders, and safeguarding issues.
  • Collaborating with Multi-Disciplinary Teams: You will work closely with other health professionals, including social workers, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for children and families.
  • Supervising and Training Staff: You will provide guidance and support to junior staff members, including paediatric trainees, to help them develop their skills and expertise.
  • Contributing to Child Protection: You will participate in the child protection on-call rota and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to safeguard children.
Requirements
  • Essential Qualifications: You must possess a UK-recognised medical degree, be fully registered with the GMC, and have GMC Specialist Registration in Paediatrics.
  • Desirable Qualifications: A CCT in Community Child Health, formal training in Standardised Autism Assessments, and experience in teaching and training are highly desirable.
