Civil Engineering Technician

Venn Group is working with a leading university in London to recruit a Civil Engineering Technician.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and installing various types of instruments and equipment used in research and teaching at the university.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and install various types of instruments and equipment used in research and teaching at the university.
  • Collaborate with staff and students to provide technically innovative and competent manufacturing and test solutions in support of research programmes and teaching.
  • Assist and advise academic staff, researchers and students in the design and setting up of project and research test apparatus.
  • Support undergraduate and postgraduate students during practical classes and project work across a range of subjects.
  • Contribute to the organisation and supervision of teaching laboratories, ensuring the availability and safe use of laboratory equipment.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical/Civil Engineering degree or equivalent level apprenticeship.
  • Strong civil engineering experience.
  • Experience working in laboratories.
