Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Management Accountant to join our team at Quadralene Ltd. in Derby. As a key member of our Finance Department, you will be responsible for providing financial support to the Financial Controller and contributing to the success of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key member of the Finance Department, working in conjunction with the existing Finance Assistant to perform core day-to-day finance tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, credit control, cash flow, inventory, COGS, product costings, fixed asset records, accruals & prepayments, and online banking processing.
- Provide support to the Financial Controller in the areas of budgeting & forecasting, P&L & margin variance analysis, local & group financial reporting, including month-end group reporting submissions, ERP & IT system developments, project management, and business partner support.
- Ensure quality control over all financial transactions and reporting, ensuring internal controls are maintained and compliant with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Getinge treasury, and Group financial standards and policies.
- Provide business partner commercial support to the local management team to drive change and improvements.
- Deputise and provide cover for the Financial Controller as and when required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Financial Controller in the preparation of local financial and management accounts, including journals preparation and entry to the financial system, maintenance and processing of accruals and prepayments, inventory analysis, and variance analysis coding.
- Provide support to the Financial Controller on review and analysis of the financial performance of Quadralene, including variance analysis with comparison to previous year, to budget, and to forecast.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register, review, and code all CAPEX, and process the monthly depreciation journal to the general ledger, ensuring all assets are reported appropriately in line with Getinge financial policies and asset values are stated at NRV.
- Support in budgeting and forecasting, rebates, standard cost updates, and ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
- Ensure all office for national statistics returns are up to date.
- Act as a business partner to provide financial and commercial support as required and work with the local management team to drive change and improvements in production and supply chain efficiency projects.
- Provide detailed analysis for budgeting and forecasting reporting.
- Involvement in integrated margin calculations involving business partnering with sales and having a good understanding of the integrated margin calculations and processes.
Quality System Duties and Responsibilities
- Build quality into all aspects of the work by maintaining compliance to all Getinge quality requirements.
Requirements
- Experience of working in a fast-paced finance department within a SME company reporting.
- Experience of working in a group structure as part of a subsidiary of a multinational company would be advantageous.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with ERP system functions and financial systems with knowledge of Microsoft Business Central and SAP an advantage.
- Experience of working with and reporting in multiple currencies is desirable.
