Job Title: Business Support Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Business Support Administrator to join our dynamic team at Bedfordshire Police. As a key member of our Local Policing department, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our team, ensuring the smooth running of essential operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the Local Policing department, including producing correspondence, booking meetings, and maintaining decision and action logs.
  • Manage a comprehensive electronic filing system, ensuring timely circulation of meeting documents and adherence to Service Level Agreements.
  • Provide diary management, including booking meetings and rooms, and transactional itinerary planning to ensure efficient travel arrangements.
  • Support team colleagues as required, and facilitate the resolution of ICT technical problems.
  • Control and handle documents in accordance with protective marking requirements, and provide support for completion of individual and departmental records.
Requirements:
  • Strong administrative experience, with a good standard of verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and prioritize workloads with relevance to importance and timescales.
  • Strong IT skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including MS Teams, Word, Diary, and Email management in Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Mail Merge, SharePoint, and One Note.
  • Able to work on own initiative and unsupervised, as well as being able to work in a team environment.
  • Experience of dealing with people at all levels, and able to undertake administrative work accurately and in a methodical way.
