About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and well-organised individual to join our team as a Senior Emergency Response Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of our service across multiple teams of volunteers, covering a broad geographical area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of our service across multiple teams of volunteers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and achieving local and organisational targets.
  • Listen to volunteer and service user feedback, making improvements to our ways of working and collaborating with external partners to grow and develop our offer.
  • Inspire and empower teams to perform to a high standard, achieving local and organisational team targets.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including domestic fires, major incidents, and humanitarian crises, such as flooding, wildfires, or power outages.
Requirements
  • Experience of maintaining effective working relationships internally, ideally working with volunteers.
  • Experience of maintaining and developing external relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • Experience in delivering on wider organisational priorities alongside day-to-day tasks, or generally in project management.
  • Experience of creating and monitoring budgets and data.
  • Strong IT proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of operating plans.
  • Excellent communication skills at a variety of levels.
  • Understanding of how to improve service quality for the benefit of users and to develop services in line with needs.
  • Able to respond to emergency situations, with hour-on-call duties as required.
