About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice to health and social care clients on a wide range of issues, including inquests, litigation, mental health and mental capacity law, public law, governance and patient safety investigations, CQC and related healthcare regulation, and confidentiality and information law.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing expert advice to health and social care clients on regulatory matters
  • Conducting inquests and litigation, including Court of Protection, judicial review and mental health tribunal matters
  • Advising on mental health and mental capacity law, including Deprivation of Liberty
  • Providing public law advice to commissioning and service provider organisations on governance, powers and responsibilities, as well as funding and treatment decision making
  • Conducting governance and patient safety investigations
  • Advising on CQC and related healthcare regulation
  • Providing advice on confidentiality and information law
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a solid track record in Healthcare Regulatory or Inquests work and strong advocacy skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team and have excellent communication skills.
