Major Loss Adjusting Specialist

Job Summary:
Adjusting Appointments Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Major Loss Adjuster to join its team in the South East region. As a key member of our Major & Complex Loss Unit, you will be responsible for handling third-party property damage liability losses, primarily associated with fire and water damage, with a caseload exceeding £100,000.
About the Role:
- You will operate as a home-based adjuster, working independently to manage a small but complex caseload, with minimal supervision.
- As a specialist in third-party property damage risks, you will be required to travel extensively throughout the South East region to assess and settle claims.
- Our ideal candidate will possess professional qualifications through the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) or equivalent, although relevant experience and a strong track record of success in major loss adjusting will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of third-party property damage liability losses, primarily associated with fire and water damage.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to determine the extent of damage and negotiate settlements with clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless claim handling.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in claim handling.
