Job Summary:

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic to join their team as a Surface & Highways Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a specialist fleet of machinery for one of the UK's largest and most successful Surface & Highways Companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the company's mixed and specialist fleet, ensuring all vehicles are in a fit and serviceable condition.
  • Perform complete HGV fitting duties, including servicing, break testing, MOTs, repairs, welding, and fabrication work.
  • Provide specialist on-the-job training to ensure the highest level of technical expertise.
  • Work flexible hours, including early mornings and late finishes, to meet the needs of the business.

Requirements:

  • Proven working ability in an HGV Mechanic role.
  • NVQ in a relevant engineering discipline (highly desirable).
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £20.00 per hour.
  • 5x overtime (Saturday) and 2x overtime (Sunday).
