Job Description:

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Support project teams to secure new business and deliver projects through various activities, including adhering to health and safety, quality, and environmental management systems.
  • Contract Review: Review contract documents, POs, project plans, and specifications, providing comments when applicable.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate with departments and Project Engineers/Managers to meet task deadlines and prioritize staff workload.
  • Project Meetings: Schedule and conduct project review meetings, focusing on contract terms, scope, cost, construction, and scheduling.
  • Reporting: Report project status to the Project Manager while adhering to policies and safety procedures.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate promptly with stakeholders regarding project schedules and issues.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Agreement Compliance: Comply with company procedures when committing to agreements.
  • Professional Representation: Represent the company professionally at all times.
  • Schedule Management: Set up schedules for timely submission and completion of project-related documents.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee project progress through regular meetings with the supply chain, subcontract team, and client representatives.
  • Customer Contact: Maintain customer contact, advising on progress, and responding to contract-related queries.
  • Progress Reports: Prepare progress reports and update construction programs before client meetings.
  • Contractual Meetings: Attend contractual meetings in the UK and Ireland if required.
  • Contract Management: Maintain an effective system of contract management.
  • Contract Variations: Monitor and report contract variations and warranty claims.
  • Warranty Reports: Produce reports on recurring warranty problems for the Technical department.
Training, Experience, and Development Responsibilities
  • Development Planning: Schedule development requirements with the Project Manager to gain knowledge and experience for the Project Engineer role.
  • Quarterly Reviews: Conduct quarterly reviews to demonstrate progress in personal development.
Leadership/Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Promotion: Promote health and safety performance.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise supply chain and subcontract teams on site.
  • Construction Phase Plan: Assist in developing a Construction Phase Plan.
  • Site Mobilization: Manage site mobilization and induction for visitors.
  • RAMS Control: Review RAMS and control material delivery to the site.
  • Site Rules: Ensure subcontract teams adhere to site rules and regulations.
Education, Training, and Experience
  • Engineering Degree: Engineering Degree (2:1 or above).
  • Industry Experience: Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or project management environment.
  • Health and Safety Training: Health and safety training knowledge.
Communication Skills
  • Document Analysis: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex industry-related documents.
  • Technical Communication: Effectively respond to technical and commercial issues.
  • Report Preparation: Prepare and communicate status reports.
  • Proposal Presentation: Present work reports and proposals to an experienced audience.
Decision Making and Problem Solving
