Fire Safety Consultant and Evaluator - Local Authority
Contract Duration:
6+ months
Working Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00, totaling 37 hours per week
Compensation:
£20.31 per hour PAYE
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead comprehensive property evaluations to perform and assess fire safety audits.
- Supervise and document the timely execution of related tasks to ensure the safety of tenants and leaseholders.
- Conduct follow-up evaluations of completed tasks to verify adherence to quality standards by both internal teams and external service providers.
- Manage the administration of the Council's fire safety management systems.
- Investigate and document all fire-related incidents, ensuring prompt and effective corrective measures are taken.
- Serve as the Department's technical authority on all fire safety issues, acting as the primary contact for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide guidance, assistance, and training to management and staff regarding fire safety compliance obligations.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Extensive background in fire safety management within built environments, including property surveying and risk assessment (preferably with significant experience in the Fire Brigade Service).
- Experience in managing and executing residential compliance initiatives.
- Professional certification in fire safety management (minimum NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management or equivalent).
- Valid driving license.
