About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Moor End Academy, working closely with our SEND students. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities to SEND students
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with special educational needs
  • Help to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of support

Requirements

  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing high-quality support to students
