Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fusion Technologist to join our team at the UK Atomic Energy Authority. As a Fusion Technologist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing software and simulation tools to support the development of fusion energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software and simulation tools to support fusion energy research and development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software and simulation tools into fusion energy systems
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides for software and simulation tools
  • Contribute to the development of fusion energy research and development strategies

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant field (e.g. physics, engineering, computer science)
  • Proven experience in software development and simulation
  • Strong understanding of fusion energy principles and technologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
