Warehouse Operations Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our warehouse, from receipt to dispatch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle raw material intake and transfer to storage, ensuring accurate inventory levels and efficient stock management.
- Carry out raw material picking and transfer to production, maintaining high levels of productivity and accuracy.
- Ensure finished products are correctly packed, addressed, and shipped by the correct transport or placed in storage as required, adhering to quality and safety standards.
- Conduct incoming and finished product inspections, including the cleanliness of delivery vehicles, to ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations.
- Control stock and replenish all key consumables, maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimizing waste.
- Maintain the warehouse in a clean and tidy condition, adhering to health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Quarantine any returned goods or items determined to be non-conforming by Quality, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations at all times, reporting any deviations, near misses, or quality/Health & Safety incidents to the Operations Manager.
- Operate forklifts safely and in accordance with safety procedures when required, maintaining a high level of proficiency and adherence to company policies.
- Report any deviations, near misses, or quality/Health & Safety incidents to the Operations Manager, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
- Participate in monthly stock counts for consumables, work in progress (WIP), and finished goods, ensuring accurate inventory levels and efficient stock management.
Requirements:
- A strong work ethic and the ability to meet targets in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and safety.
- Counterbalance forklift licence, with the ability to operate safely and efficiently.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Computer literacy, with proficiency in relevant software and systems.
- Ability to work on own initiative, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Desirable:
- Previous warehouse experience, with a strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain operations.
- Flexible working hours attitude, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Counterbalance and Reach forklift licence, with the ability to operate safely and efficiently.
