Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Property Lawyer to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our property law team, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of general commercial property transactions and landlord and tenant matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a varied general commercial property caseload, including advising on landlord and tenant matters and all related commercial property work.
  • Undertake legal research to provide accurate, up-to-date legal advice while maintaining the highest level of client service.
  • Draft and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and leases.
  • Conduct due diligence on behalf of clients to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Assist more senior lawyers with complex transactions, building knowledge and skills.
  • Work as part of a team, assisting colleagues for the benefit of clients.
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills, ensuring client matters are progressed effectively and files are kept in good order.
  • Take responsibility for achieving individual time and billing targets, managing a varied caseload with flexibility to changing demands.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and third parties through effective communication and resolution of issues to move transactions forward.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the case management system.
  • Stay up-to-date with legal developments in commercial property law.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor/Legal executive with experience in commercial property law.
  • Proven ability to manage a varied caseload and meet billing targets.
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and third parties.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
