Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Our client, a leading international aggregates manufacturer, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform both mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks, including fault finding, inspections, preventive and reactive work, alignment, and troubleshooting.
  • Help maintain maintenance policies by updating technical details, job instructions, risk assessments, and documents.
  • Utilize the SAP system for operational tasks and use the CMMS to update task statuses and reports.
  • Participate in engineering projects at various stages, including planning, installation, and operation.
  • Operate and maintain equipment like forklifts and cherry pickers as trained.
  • Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff if required and be ready for after-hours calls and overtime if needed, following company rules.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience and competency in a similar position within a heavy production or manufacturing environment.
  • Completed an onsite apprenticeship (or hold a NVQ, HNC, ONC or HND) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process systems.
  • Proven capabilities in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and problem-solving across both mechanical and electrical fields.
  • Good grasp of maintenance methodologies, including preventive, proactive, condition monitoring, and reliability tools.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH Health and Safety Certification is preferred.
  • Reasonable understanding and experience with health and safety legislation, such as LOLER, PUWER, Working at Height, Confined Spaces, COSHH, and PSSR.
