As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for implementing product and process developments to ensure compliant production of high-performance rigid insulation boards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new product and process specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and company targets.
  • Collaborate with local Quality teams to ensure new technical test methods are suitable for compliance with relevant product standards and technical agreements.
  • Support Technical Processing in the optimization of process chemistry and process methods to maintain a lead in terms of lowest cost of production while maintaining quality and technical standards.
  • Liaise with Divisional R&D teams on projects, progressing relevant projects through the CMEx processes to deliver compliant products meeting scope requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data is provided for continuous improvement through management information technology systems.
  • Liaise with suppliers, universities, technical establishments, certification bodies, trade associations, and customers on technical discussions, attending conferences or further training as required.
  • Act lawfully in accordance with the Health and Safety At Work Act (HASAWA) 1974, with due regard to their own and others' Health and Safety and the environment at all times.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical or Process Engineering or a similar subject.
  • Full driving license.
  • Significant relevant industrial experience and proven ability.
  • Experience of working with various IT programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to act quickly and decisively when problems arise.
